Just a few lines to keep you updated on what is going on with Sowers of Seed. It is only after much prayer and soul searching and discussion with staff and advisers that I write this letter. As most of you know we have struggled the past few years financially. We are aware that many ministries are in the same position. As more and more news stories surface about ministries that use ministry money to live a high lifestyle we just want to let our ministry partners know where their money goes. We DO NOT have private jets, fleets of expensive cars or huge homes. As director I drive a 9 year old truck and live in a modest home and earn a very modest salary.  Our building is not lavish but it works for us. We are using 20 to 30 year old equipment which we repair and maintain ourselves. We produce all of our booklets and tracts with a staff of 8-10 people. We know that money is tighter than ever so we wanted to let you know that we really appreciate any support we receive from our faithful partners. We are in a position of just hanging on until the Lord blesses us with more finance. However we know the Lord will always provide when we put Him first in this ministry. Please pray with us that the provision will come quickly. We need to get in a position to produce material ahead so our delivery times will be shorter and we need to clear up some lingering debt. Our entire income averages about $300,000.00 per year, out of that we have to pay salaries, taxes, utilities, paper which by itself averages about $10,000.00 per month, ink, wire, insurance, and misc. expenses. Shipping costs alone are about $600.00 to $800.00 per week. So as you can tell it is a pretty tight fit each month to keep the doors open. As always any help is appreciated.
