A Brief History of Sowers of Seed

"Hello, I am a sinner, saved by Faith in Jesus, The Christ, who willingly paid the debt that I owe by his suffering and death on the cross. My life has not always been perfect, I sin daily. I have recently been going through very terrible times, but I have been praying anyway, begging God for the right heart and comfort. I was in the bank last week, and I don't know why but I asked the older lady teller to say a prayer for me that night and that God already knew who and why. She said she would. That night while in Wal-Mart a lady stopped me and asked me if I was OK. I told her I wasn't and she asked me my name so that she might say a prayer for me. The next day I got a phone call from an elderly man who dialed my number by accident, the conversation made it's way to Jesus. Now his whole church is praying for me. He told me that he was dying of heart trouble and asked for prayer from me. He told me that he would be in heaven soon and that when It was my turn to come home, he would be there to greet me. This morning as I got out of my car to go to the doctor, I saw this little booklet, tossed aside like a piece of garbage, it was wet and dirty. I picked it up anyway. As I read I could only weep. God is so good to show me kindness when my best is so filthy in his sight. I just wanted you to know that God used "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled" booklet to encourage and comfort me."


Way back, in around January of 1978, I found a little red booklet laying in a parking lot of a grocery store, near my house. I was going thru a deep depression at the time. I picked up this little booklet and read it on the couch over and over again. It was such a comfort to me when I really needed it. It was the same as the white booklets "Comfort, Assurance, and Salvation." Without really realizing the power of the written Word, it found its place in my heart. I accepted Christ in my life and immediately started sending away for 1,000 booklets and have been doing so all along. I know that it has touched many hearts. Continue to do this precious work.


Some things, organizations and Ministries are good; some better; some best. Your Ministry goes beyond the good, the better, the best and is Bless'ed. May God bless everyone and anyone involved in the Sowers of Seed Ministry. In every Church I've pastored we have had SOS Sundays when we've Sowed the 'Seed' by the hundreds and thousands. Disability has confined me to a wheelchair because of a progressive, painful and non-curable neuromuscular disease. Now I have a personal Ministry of Encouragement-The Barnabas Connection Ministries. Now I'm ordering again. God richly bless you and your Bless'ed Ministry.


We took one thousand scripture booklets in spanish to El Salvador on a mission trip ,these were very popular with the people we met. Its just like the name that you have choosen so many years ago, the little scripture books were as seeds being sown, someone may plant, another may water and God gives the increase. Thanks for having this ministry for others to find the tracts and booklets that help spread the gospel to those who need it. Some day when we all get to heaven Im sure there will be many who will say thanks for sowing the seeds.


I would like to share my story about how I came upon one of your personal bible booklets. Most of my life I have been sort of agnostic I guess until about a year ago when a friend of mine became born again and so I started asking him questions and inquiring more about jesus christ. Not long after that I was in a Wal-Mart in Tampa, Fl and just browsing around I bought a box of crayons for my daugters. When I returned home and opened the box I found this little booklet that read personal bible verses of comfort assurance salvation. After reading through this little miracle I was convinced that Jesus is real and I had better ask for his forgiveness and invite him into my life. I will pass this story on for the rest of my life, it was so moving to me. I have no idea who implanted that little book in that box of crayons but good work to you and thank you, whoever you are you have changed my life. Tampa FL


Brethren, I am so happy to have found you; I am a pastor; I met the Lord in 1978 from the worst of the worst life styles; looking in a trash can I saw the "Smiley" tract; picked it up; read it; kept it; 3 or 4 days late,r attempting a third try at killing myself, a lady asked my why I wanted to die when God had so much for me to live for; I told her, "you sound just like this LITTLE BOOK! Needless to say, saved, sanctified, delivered, 25 years later-still serving The LORD. Thanks for being there. God uses me mightely for His glory and "SMILEY" had alot to do with it!!


Dear Sower of Seeds, I purchase and use the Little Bible booklets as a ministry to witness. I hand them out, leave them in highly traveled areas and I also include them in the care packages I distribute to the homeless. I pray for the recipient before giving them out and I also continue to pray afterward. These booklets tell the entire story of salvation using scripture, which will never return void. It has enabled me to further the Kingdom in the Harvest of souls that I encounter daily. Gob Bless You


I am a first time user of your tracts. A friend of mind gave me one of your little booklets called "Personal Bible", and I really enjoyed it. So I've ordered them to give out as part of my ministry. I love the idea of having a little Bible in my purse that I can pull out anytime and read the Word without having my big Bible I use for church. Thank you for your ministry. It's a blessing to me. A friend from Nebraska sent me this little booklet. It arrived in January, 2006; the day my mother's doctor called to report on her needle biopsy. The diagnosis was 4th stage non-small cell carcinoma. The little booklet gave me such comfort. I ordered a set and shared them with the leaders of ladies mission group, my own mission group and a little prayer group. I've given it to folks that were hurting and might be receptive to God's special comfort and support. My mother died June 29 this year. Thank you for that little book. I have been picking up your "Personal Bible" in English and Spanish at one of my local flee markets, the vendor there gives them to me for free, I was unaware that she has to pay you for the booklets until now, I make dolls and children toys, I attached the little bibles to the hands of the dolls and the parents who purchashed them love the idea, I also make prayer pillows in which i tuck the little bibles in somewhere in the pillows. The little book, Smile Jesus Loves You, helped me through a difficult time. My cousin, a few months old at the time, was most likely going to die because of a heart complication. A surgery would take place but the probability of her survival was very slim. As I was cleaning, I found this book on a table at work and was relieved because I knew Jesus was watching out for her. She survived the surgery and is now 4 years old and as healthy as can be! Thanks so much for making these little books that can lift a Christian's spirit in a time of need! Many a times my little Bible and I laid in rice patty water getting wet, but as of this day I am still carrying around it in my pocket. It is a little rough, but the words of God are pure as the day I recevied it.
